McGovern Mini Jigs is our joyful, age-appropriate preschool Irish dance program designed especially for children ages 2 to 5. Through music, movement, and playful learning, young dancers build confidence, coordination, and a love of dance — all in a warm, encouraging environment.

Our program is thoughtfully divided by age to support each child’s development while creating a clear, happy path as they grow.

🌸 Little Jigs (Ages 2–3)

A playful introduction to Irish dance for our youngest movers.

Little Jigs focuses on:

• Creative movement and music

• Basic rhythm and listening skills

• Parent interaction and shared class time

• Building comfort, joy, and confidence in the studio

This class is designed to be fun, flexible, and engaging — perfect for first-time dancers and their grown-ups.

🌟 Rising Jigs (Ages 4–5)

For dancers who are ready to take their next step.

Rising Jigs builds on early movement skills while introducing:

• Basic Irish dance steps

• Rhythm and coordination

• Independence and classroom confidence

• Preparation for beginner Irish dance classes

This class encourages focus, confidence, and a sense of accomplishment while keeping learning fun and age-appropriate.

As dancers outgrow Mini Jigs, Stepping Stones helps bridge the gap between preschool and beginner classes by focusing on:
